Connie joined NAIW dba IAIP (International Association of Insurance Professionals) in 1989.  It is hard to believe today but my employer Norton Insurance Agency presented the NAIW opportunity to me. I am a person who wants to take part and contribute at the top of my abilities and my relationship with IAIP is no different.  I immediately became actively involved and have held the following offices over my journey with IAIP:  president, 1^st vice president, recording secretary, editor, board member, and chaired the following committees: public relations, community service, advertising, ways and means, safety and education and Georgia Council  Committees long range planning and budget and finance, legislative liaison.  I attended a variety of State, Regional and a few National conventions.  I have been very honored to receive the “Rookie of the Year” award in 1990-91 term, and Winner of Georgia State CWC (Confidence While Communicating) 2010.  I have obtained my CPIW (Certified Professional Insurance Women) I have continued with my education completing course in Leadership Development, CWC, Advanced Communication, and the “I Can Series” Personal Umbrella, Tax Free Income Roth IRA,   CPCU, CIC, INS.  Shorter College

I have found it rewarding and extremely necessary to give back to family and community.  I am blessed to have a wonderful husband Jim and daughter Anna getting ready to enter KSU (Kennesaw State College) GO OWLS and our baby of the family Robby Rose who is six and all boy I might add. 

Over the years I have worked in church as Sunday school teacher, church cook and church maid! and loved every minute of it. I have contributed time to CASA Cobb county, Public school Gwinnett, Cobb and Cherokee, Gabby House (Christian outreach program), Georgia State political volunteer, Atlanta food bank, Must Ministries, Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games were I held positions as envoy and driver.

Connie has worked the recruitment and staffing industry since 1996.  She is currently the CEO and founder of Empire Insurance Recruiters, Inc.( A job board for the insurance and insurance related industries) she has successfully met the needs of employers by placing qualified insurance professionals in various positions, both permanent and temporary, within all fields of property and casualty insurance and life and health.  Connie has spent 11 years in the property and casualty insurance field prior to pursuing a career in staffing and recruitment.  During her insurance career she worked as a personal and commercial account executive and later as an automobile insurance underwriter. As a recruiter Connie is pursuing human resource education through PHR (Professional Human Resource) specialist.  

 Connie believes that her true calling is to make a difference in the lives of others. She chooses to do this by providing employment opportunities through her job board; knowledge and experience within the insurance employment industry and on occasion a should to cry on and an ear to listen.
